《PRODUCE101》是韩国首个打破娱乐公司界线的竞争类真人秀，来自韩国不同娱乐公司(SM、YG除外)的101名女练习生将展开竞争，在节目中同吃同住、完成各种任务，最后获选的11名成员将会成为一个团体发行单曲，并以CJ E&M旗下艺人的身份进行为期一年的活动。

AKB48将会出演mnet综艺produce48，下个月试镜。 　　Produce48方也回应akb48会参演并与1月开始试镜。

Mnet偶像企划Produce101确定将于明年上半年携第四季度回归,此次季度将以选拔受全球瞩目的新男团为目标,题目也变更为Produce X101。

《PRODUCE 101 JAPAN》是日本吉本兴业株式会社、日本TBS电视台与韩国CJ E&M共同策划的组合青春成长节目，共12期，由搞笑艺人组合NINETY-NINE（冈村隆史、矢部浩之）担任国民制作人代表，菅井秀宪、安仓沙也加担任歌唱导师，A-NON、WARNER担任舞蹈导师，Bose、柏木上野担任Rap导师。该节目以《PRODUCE 101》作为蓝本，召集了101位选手，通过任务、训练、考核，让选手在导师的训练下成长，最终选出11位选手，组成偶像团体出道。该节目于2019年9月26日起每周四晚7点(JST)在TBS电视台播出；于12月11日播出总决赛成团之夜，前十一位选手豆原一成、川尻莲、川西拓实、大平祥生、鹤房汐恩、白岩瑠姫、佐藤景瑚、木全翔也、河野纯喜、金城碧海、与那城奖组成了男团JO1，并于2020年正式出道。
